With the new single and video, "Arch of the Sky," we delve into the realm of mythology. Ville Friman comments: “‘Arch of the Sky’ introduces a proggier side of the ‘Netherworlds’, featuring time signature changes and Insomnium’s trademark blend of mellow passages and heavier sections. Lyrically, the song is inspired by Sámi mythology, in which celestial hunters pursue a deer across the arch of the sky in perpetual motion. According to the legend, if the deer were ever caught, the world would come to an end as the roof of the sky collapsed.”
